FM26 New Striker Wonderkids Walkthrough – Best Young Strikers in Winter Update

Jacob Ambaek

Brondby teenager Jacob Ambaek has exploded out of nowhere in the newest update to become one of the best striker prospects in the game. With his potential on a similar level to Marc Guiu, Evan Ferguson, and Yousouffa Moukouko, he is considered one of the game’s best new wonderkids. He has done this by being prolific for Denmark’s youth teams with his domestic return of 4 goals being less impressive.

Gaoussou Diakite

It isn’t a wonderkid list without someone from the RB group, this time we have RB Salzburg’s Gaoussou Diakite who has been impressing on loan for Lausanne-Sport. His potential in update 26.2 has him alongside Mathys Tel and Shaqueel Van Persie, thanks to his real life return of 11 goals and 6 assists across all competitions.

Gaku Nawata

Japan is now being recognised as one of the world’s finest producers of young talent with Gaku Nawata the latest high-potential prospect from the region in this new update, with a ceiling on a similar level to sought-after European talent Nelson Weiper, and Chido Obi, the Japanese teenager has been playing at J1 level and in Asian competitions already. He is certianly one to look at if you need a versatile striking option.

Yassir Zabiri

Stade Rennais are a familiar name to wonderkid scouts as the French side is one of the usual hotbeds for young talent. They have grabbed this gem from Portugal in the winter window so he won’t be eligible for a move in the game until the second summer window. The Moroccan netted four times in 12 league games before his transfer and looks set to kick on for the Ligue 1 outfit.

Mateus Mane

Not an out-and-out striking option but one that’s worth a mention. The Wolves attacker has been one of the bright sparks of their dismal Premier League campaign so far. He’s more of a winger or attacking midfielder but can play the striker spot in FM, making him an interesting option if you want a skilful forward beside a big man or a false 9 type for your tactic.
