FM26 New CB Wonderkids Guide (Winter Update)

FM26 New CB Wonderkids Guide (Winter Update)

This FM26 new CB wonderkids guide will look at the post-January update that changes the database for good. Commonly known as the winter update, this adds January transfers to the game and changes the ratings and potential of many players. In this, I will be focusing on centre-backs who have emerged in update 26.2 for you to sign, with a number of options included, as some will need as many as 3 CBs depending on tactics. Football Manager 2026 has been the most controversial entry to the series in some time with Steam having it on mostly negative reviews, with newer reviews staying mixed.

FM26 New CB Wonderkids List – Best Young CBs in Winter Update

Tiago Gabriel

Lecce defender Tiago Gabriel has had a breakout season as a regular in Serie A. The league, known for strong defenders, has allowed the Portuguese international to become one of the most sought-after young defenders in Europe. He is one of FM’s biggest gainers but is a step below their highest-end projects in Dean Huijsen and Luka Vuskovic

Leo Lemaitre

Another one for Real Madrid’s already loaded young core of talents. Lemaitre has exploded in the new update to be one of the better defensive prospects in the game, he could break his way into the Madrid first team with enough patience but most likely you’ll be prying him away for one of Europe’s other teams.

Yigit Efe Demir

Young Turkish defender Yigit Efe Demir has broken into the first team for domestic giants Fenerbahce and been rewarded for it in FM26 by jumping up and becoming one of the top CB wonderkids in the new update. He is set to peak just below the first two names on this list but he could be easier to sign given he is playing in Turkey.

Sergi Dominguez

Having come through the Barcelona youth system it comes as no surprise that the defender is a top talent. He made a move to Dinamo Zagreb which has seen him get on the radar of the SI devs. He caps out in the game as a similar, or higher, level to Vitor Reis and has earned that distinction for his performances for Zagreb, even breaking his way into Spain’s youth setup.

Raul Kumar

Raul Kumar might be one of the best bargains to come out of the 26.2 update. Croatia has become a hotbed of young talent and with his performances domestically, Kumar has emerged as one of their next bright spots. He plays for a fairly small team so he should be easy to sign for most top teams. When it comes to the best FM26 New CB Wonderkids of 26.2, there are few better than this young talent for most top teams.
