This Sword of the Sea Animal Rider guide will detail how to find each of the rideable animals in the game, with each being linked to an achievement. Sword of the Sea has many things to collect as you make your way through the map so I’ll make life a little easier for one of those items. Sword of the Sea is an exploration game with an emphasis on building a strong atmosphere through visuals and sound, it is from the same mind as Abzu and Journey. Sword of the Sea Animal Rider Walkthrough
Orca
Found in the Veiled Sea after restoring the water to activate the chain on the left of the open area. Fish will appear in said open area, use the jellyfish to make your way up to one of the Orca.
Blue Whale
Found in the Sacred River, after restoring the water point on top of the floating island fish will appear again. There will be blue whales around the floating island to ride.
Whale Shark
Also found in the Sacred River, restore the water point on top of the ship. Fish will again appear. Go to the highest point of the ship to jump atop a Whale Shark.
Archeleon
Found in the Lost Grotto, activate the water point on top of the buildings that unlocks the level exit. Near the shark statue you’ll find Archeleon now swimming around the statue.
Humpback Whale
Found in the Shadow Tundra, restore the water around the giant statue by activating the water point on its hand. Using the kelp that appears, go towards a humpback whale to ride it.
Elasmosaur
In the same level following the area with the giant statue, use the wisps to boost to the highest point in the area, then boost towards a doorway on the left that you’ll notice by looking downhill. Restore the water point in the skull fish which makes new fish appear. Use the kelp to locat an Elasmosaur.
Sperm Whale
Found in the Sacred River, restore the water in the large circular room. Fish will appear, use the kelp to get to a Sperm Whale.
