Top 5 Goalkeeper Wonderkids in FM24 Winter Update
While there are some better wonderkids available, which will be covered in its own piece. This is all about the NEW wonderkids who have emerged with the Winter Update so names like Guillaume Restes won’t feature.
Tjark Ernst
In the new update Tjark has the potential to become one of the best shot stoppers in the game. He is 20 years-old and currently plays for Hertha Berlin in the German second division so attention from a big club is likely to turn his head.
Kayode Bankole
Another 20-year-old this time representing Nigeria. Following in the footsteps of FM23 mainstay Nathaniel Nwosu as a breakout goalkeeper from Nigeria. Bankole plays in his native country for Remo Stars FC and could prove to be a bargain, even if his potential will put him just underneath football’s elite goalkeepers.
Obed Nkambadio
Currently playing for Paris FC in Ligue 2 the 20-year-old has kept former Lyon veteran Remy Riou out of the sticks with his performances. His value on transfermarkt has doubled since October as his eye-catching performances raise his value in real life as well as virtually in FM24 where he is now a goalkeeping wonderkid in Update 24.3.
Zion Suzuki
After being subject to interest from Manchester United last summer it comes as no surprise that the Japanese goalkeeper has seen his ratings get a raise in the latest update. He is currently on loan in Belgium with Sint-Truiden but will make his move permanent in the summer, meaning you’ll have to wait a whole year before even having a chance to pry him away from the Belgian side.
Dovin Oliver
The latest update appears to have an affinity for 20-year-old goalkeepers as Oliver is another breakout shot stopper in the new update. In 2023 he took over as Hammarby’s main goalkeeper as they finished in mid table. He’s another player whose potential often puts him just outside the top crust of keepers but his age and value could make him a real bargain for any team.
