This Discounty early game guide will give you some tips on the best ways to approach the earlier sections of the game. Discounty isn’t the hardest game in the world but a player’s own decisions can sometimes lock them into some delays later in a playthrough so I’ll provide some useful tips as someone who beat the game. Discounty is a life-sim where you run a grocery store and that has been reviewed positively by players on Steam.

Discounty Early Game Tips
Tip 1
When it comes to Trade Deal Perks, I would recommend ALWAYS going for the path that increases supply. The reasons are two-fold; first off, money will be no issue in Discounty. Any semi-decent player will have enough money to afford stock without any issues.
The main problem is that boxes of 10 can go very quickly in the space of a week when your store is smaller. What this leads to is a catastrophic domino effect where your CAR goes down because suddenly every customer will want an item you physically cannot stock.
Trust me, this is a disaster. So I learned pretty quickly to make sure I was increasing it to 20 items per box and extra boxes every week.
Tip 2
Redeeming points to unlock new items to sell is good but you should definitely pace yourself. As soon as you redeem a new store item customers will have it on their shopping lists. Make sure you have enough money, shelves, and time to stock out a new item before redeeming any points.
Tip 3
Chapter 2 and 3 will see you unlock better shelves and coolers, some that can fit 20 items’ worth of stock at a time. This basically makes the starting furniture useless so I’d recommend not overloading your store too early with items and planning for a time when you’ll be able to place 10 bread in the one spot.
Tip 4
Posters and ads aren’t always the best idea as getting overrun with customers can lead to a low C.A.R or a lack of stock unless you’re running with a low rotation of items. I’d recommend only using posters after getting Chester as a part-timer who does the stocking work with you. He keeps things from running too low and by then you’ll likely have more storage space as the deeper coolers and shelves will be unlocked.
These are most useful for one of the final missions where you have to donate 15,000 shills. Get the best poster available and post 3 around town to make at least 2k per day.
