Echoes of The End Steam Deck Performance Analysis

The game does launch without much of an issue which is usually a positive sign. Launch issues are often a precursor for crashing or badly optimised games but this title manages to avoid that pitfall. That’s generally where the positives end though.

Visually, the game is just too much for the Deck to handle. It’s a highly detailed open world setting that causes a lot of issues for the portable console. Even when adjustments are made to the graphics it suffers from very low framerates and visual drops.

It is a demanding game that will see your Deck’s heat rise and the battery drain in about 2 hours even with some setting adjustments.

While it is definitely playable, Echoes of the End is just too much for the Steam Deck to handle. It will have to be played on low settings with frame rate drops and overheating issues if at all, this is definitely one to try and play elsewhere if possible.
