Wuthering Waves Steam Deck Performance Review
As of now, there are major issues with the game moving to the Steam Deck. Launching it is a big problem which usually tells you enough about whether or not a game is capable of playing on the Deck. Wuthering Waves is the kind of game that wasn’t really designed to play on this console and therefore has big issues even starting it.
That is because of the anti-cheat software that’s required to play it, the launchers on Deck don’t communicate the necessary information for the game to launch as it doesn’t recognise the necessary anti-cheat software on the console.
If you do find a workaround to get the game to launch properly on the portable console, since there IS always a workaround, you’re almost destined to run into some problems. The game will either hit a wall and stop working, crash, or have issues getting sections loaded in.
The developers are aware of these issues and are currently working to try and get the game working natively on the Steam Deck and Linux but until that happens it is better left avoided for Deck users.
