As everyone knows the video game world is fairly sleepy in the early portion of the year. It is as the summer approaches that the big AAA titles really start to drop. With that, I am going to look at 3 Big games set to drop in the Summer of 2025 that you HAVE TO have your eye on.

Mario Kart World
The world will get a first taste of what the Nintendo Switch 2 can do under the legendary company with Mario Kart World releasing in June. This is one of the high-profile releases along with the revamped and more powerful Switch 2 so it’s likely yo go all out to show off the potential of the new console and its features.
This will also be the first new Mario Kart in some time and will offer a rework to the mechanics that players have become all too familiar with on the base Switch. When it comes to Mario, there’s always hype and attention. But when it’s Mario Kart AND a new console, this is sure to be one of the most highly sought-after games of 2025.
EA FC 26
The first years without a FIFA license have been interesting for EAFC. It is clear that the studio has taken this chance to spread its wings and the next edition of the game is sure to be a crucial one, with live scores and updated player stats a staple. Slowly but surely we are seeing changes come to the long-running franchise with the biggest being the integration of women’s football across the entire game.
This, along with the freedom from FIFA’s restrictive license agreement has allowed the studio to make their mark with the series post-FIFA titles but it has not been without it’s issues. Last year’s game had a very poor reception with Career Mode being as broken as ever, the on-field play being poorer and UT being one big gambling scheme.
EAFC 26 will not only need to further advance the progress made with women’s livescore football by hopefully adding more depth to the career modes, but by making sweeping changes to the offline mechanics that are so utterly broken. If not, they risk turning off a whole wave of gamers who are tired of the laziness.
Elden Ring Nightreign
Elden Ring is one of the gaming’s most beautiful masterpieces. It is therefore unsurprising that Nightreign is looking like one of the most important releases of the entire gaming calendar. It brings a new twist to the game with the aim being to assemble a group who can take down a boss with just three days of preparation.
Not only is this more of the incredible world of Elden Ring but it is a different style of gameplay. Going beyond the standard action ad having more of a strategic and cooperative vibe.
