This Mouthwashing Developer Console guide will detail how to open and use the developer console to unlock an achievement. This has to be done at the right time so I’ll be discussing everything I know about completing this achievement. Mouthwashing has proven to be a hit on Steam with players, largely down to the strong storytelling in the psychological horror game.

Mouthwashing Developer Console Walkthrough
This achievement has to be done outside of the actual game and involves the Steam files. First thing to do is open the games files by hitting the settings icon, going to manage, and then selecting to Browse Local Files.
What you’re looking for here is something called LaunchOptions.dat it should be near the actual .exe to start the game.
Open the .dat file in a text editor (this is important you need to be able to change the text not just read it).
Where it says ConsoleEnabled=false use the editor to change this to ConsoleEnabled=true and save the file.
Once you open the game press the key that is below escape and to the left of 1 on your keyboard, for some it will be like ` but it can be different based on keyboard layout (i.e for others it will be ~).
