This Visions of Mana best class guide will look at each individual character and explain which class works best for them. Visions of Mana is the latest release from Square Enix and contains a lot of the usual mechanics and gameplay styles that fans are used to with the party-focused JRPG getting solid reviews on Steam.

Controversially, Visions of Mana was developed by a sub-studio known as Ouka Studios which is being shut down after just one game release, this is continuing a negative and unwanted trend in the gaming sphere that only hurts all of us.

Visions of Mana Best Class by Character
Careena
Careena’s best option is likely the Dragon Master class. This class paired with her lancer weapon is a mobile, high-output attacking unit that can use the lancer for additional reach. Based on your play style you may prefer a more magic attack base for Careena but I prefer to use the Dragon Master and maximise the attacking capabilities she has.
Julei
Julei belongs in the Gatekeeper class. This is your only natural healer so you might as well go all in. Gatekeeper has the passive ability to buff any character with less than 50% health which is frankly a little OP.
Morley
Morley’s best class is up for debate but if you buy into the dice roll of critical hits then the Nightblade class is the best one to use. The Nightblade class has a passive ability that boosts critical hit rates, pairing this with Morley’s ability to deal multiple hits and you’ve got a recipe for damage dealing.
Palamena
Continuing with our offensive tactics Palamena can use the Reaper class to become an absolute menace on the battlefield. The damage output is high and you get the chance to absorb some damage, Palamena’s scythe offers a bit of range for combat too.
Val
Val is at his best as a Duelist but for my setup and my other choices he’s better off utilised as an Aegis. This turns him into a damage sponge defensive unit who can take the heat while the other attack-focused units mow down enemies.
Alternate Strategy
For a slightly more well-rounded class selection, you can change Palamena to a ranged Magus or change Careena to a Conjurer and allow Val to be a duelist. This would provide you with one additional ranged option without having a damage sponge shielding the team but it does allow for better variety.
