The Crust Oxides Walkthrough
Extracting resources is one of the main gameplay aspects of The Crust, collecting them allows you to improve your space colony and help those living there. This time, I’ll be focusing on Oxides and how to excavate them and make sure they’re being collected adequately.
The first thing is you need to have access to mining drones, which requires the creation of a Drone Reconfiguration Module. Once you’ve got the ability to reconfigure the drones you can set some of them to focus on mining which will make them dig up resources from the land.
Going one step further, you can assign drones to specific resources in Excavation Mode. By selecting oxide it will instruct a drone to mine only oxide, you can do this for one drone or every drone depending on how desperately you need Oxide.
Despite this, some players have noticed that drones don’t collect Oxide properly and a lot of it is left ungathered at the mining point. This is likely due to the drones not having enough storage and leaving behind some of the Oxides.
You can either try to bulk store oxides or re-enable the manual input and set it so the drones bring back more of the material. This manual input can become disabled by the belt attached to your refinery so just be sure to double check the setting.
Collecting Oxides is a vital part of this title and it just requires a little bit of work and focus from the player. Once you’ve got the drones collecting as much as possible you should be good to move on to another resource.
