Track Characteristics

Known for both it’s beginning and end, the Shanghai track has a very tough corner right at the beginning of the lap but the back end is full of fast sections for overtaking opportunities.

Aerodynamics

By now, most players will be used to the settings here as the wings don’t change a lot through the first few races. Front wing at about 30, rear at about 25 and you should be fine.

Transmission

Engine braking can remain at 100 with on throttle being at 50. The main change is off-throttle being adjusted to 35 which should help on sharper turns.

Suspension Geometry

Camber angles are low again but not as low as usual. The rear can be set to -1.8 which is a small big higher than usual with the front being at -3.2. Toe can be at 0.06 for both.

Suspension

The following suspension settings are the best ones

  • Front: 32
  • Rear: 7
  • Front Anti-Roll: 5
  • Rear Anti-Roll: 3
  • Front Ride: 25
  • Rear Ride: 60

Brakes

Brake pressure at 95 and Brake Bias at 55 will be ok for this race.

Tyres

Tyre Pressure seems to have a decent meta where fronts of 29.5 and rears of 26.5 will manage almost every race. For Shanghai, you can have the left tyre about 0.2 or 0.3 higher than the right tyre at whatever setting you choose.
