As is standard in games like this the Archer Militia is a very strong unit that can be used to overwhelm enemies from range. You’ll need to be strategic with them but archers will be able to turn the tides in your favour overwhelmingly.

For the front line, there’s no better pick than the Retinue. They can be very costly but they are stronger all around than the majority of units. They balance defence with offence and can provide a distraction for your archers to pepper opponents with freedom.

The Spear Militia is also one worth investing in as their defensive skills will also give you time to pick off enemies with archers. With those three as your core units, the game should be easy enough when it comes to battle.
