This Planet Crafter Drones guide will explain how to unlock drones, how to build some, and then how to use them. As they are a newer part of the game some longtime players have been left wondering what they are for. Planet Crafter has just made the jump to a full release over on Steam and has gained huge positive receptions for its open-world survival style of play.

Planet Crafter Drones Walkthrough

You have to unlock the Drone Station by using the Terraforming mechanic. By reaching 78 GTi you will be given the blueprint. Building the station will then require a Super Alloy, Circuit boards, Osmium, and a Fusion Cell.

Once you have a Drone Station you’ll also have to craft each drone individually which will vary based on the model of Drone. You can hold up to 25 Drones in your station so you can build a healthy amount if you want.

With the Drones available you can now go through the storage units available and select to either fill the unit with a certain material or to just pick up one specific resource to fill a slot.

Wrapping your head around the supply container and the demand container will take a few minutes to ger used to, but once you’ve sorted it out you’ll have a production line fueled by drones.
