In a neat attempt to continue keeping up with real-life innovation the addition of set-piece coaches provides another opportunity for you to gain an edge over the competitors.
It remains to be seen how effective they can be but if implemented properly then getting the right coach could be the difference between a title win and a failed challenge or between safety and relegation.
More Detailed Set Pieces
I often ran into the issue of board’s asking me to make the most of set pieces while the set piece menu was incredibly bare bones. There was never really any indication given as to how I could even make the most of these when the options were so limited.
It appears based on the details and screengrabs provided that set pieces are now being given the depth and care that all other aspects of the game have received. There are now multiple options on hand, better routines, player traits, and more.
While this is something most players will glaze over it is nice that other managers will be able to have closer control over what happens on the pitch, especially for something as crucial as set pieces which can earn a number of extra goals per season.
