Much like Stardew Valley has some materials gained by cutting grass, Fae Farm follows suit. To gain fodder you just need to grow some grass on your homestead before cutting it, there is occasionally some wild grass found that can be cut for Fodder but the most certain method is to grow your own and cut it down.
