Brotato Masochist Build Walkthrough

Character Type

The Masochist has some very interesting quirks. It gets +5% damage until the end of the wave once it has been hit, which in turn pairs with a +10 HP and +20 HP regeneration trait. It also has solid armour and defensive stats.

Where it becomes a bit more difficult is the -100% damage debuff. This puts you in quite the situation as you MUST take damage in order to have any hope of killing enemies.

Upgrades

Focus on upgrading attack speed and melee damage in order to deal as much damage as possible in close combat while also sponging up damage. Getting a Life Drain will also be a positive to your run as it will allow you to take more damage, thus increasing your damage% rating further.

Gather some rocks due to the Primitive and Blunt weapon bonuses to Max HP and Armor.

Items

Some items can basically make this run a walk in the park. The first is Blood Donation. It will take away 1 HP per second, thus boosting your damage % rating constantly. Pairing this with a Medical Turret will make you unstoppable.

The medical turret shoots bullets that heal you occasionally which can, with strong HP regeneration and Max HP boosts make you a powerful character with a lot of health and attack power.

With this main stuff out of the way focus on fortifying your defensive stats with further upgrades and items to finish out a run as the Masochist with ease.

Unlocks

Winning with this build for the first time will unlock the Spiky Shield which is a Medieval and Blunt type object. It deals knockback, has a 3% chance of a critical hit, and has decent range for a melee weapon.
