Nascar 25 Setup Walkthrough
Quick Setup
When presented with the Tight-Loose slider I would start with the loose at 25%, this does cause an oversteer but is a solid base point for each track. It also, mechanically, makes it easier to turn on most tracks, allowing the back to remain loose and ready to come out of turns better.
If a particular track is giving you difficulty then you can move tihs in either direction until it is optimal but for most tracks, 25% losoe should be a perfect base point.
Weight Distribution
Left side weight goes to 53%, putting more of the weight on the right for corners whch increases traction. Nose weight is one that’s tricky but anywhere around 50, this can be changed by tiny margins but 49.8-50.3 should be perfect.
The Wedge is the most difficult one as it can depend by track, start with it at or below the default and change slightly based on your feel during practice. If the car needs to tighten up then increase the wedge weight.
Springs and Shocks
The ideal setup is to have soft shocks on the left and stiffer springs on the right to maximise downforce when turning.
Left Front: 34 psi, high bump/rebound around 9, positive camber angle, lower LF
Right Front: Higher RF, negative camber, 28 PSI
Left Rear: Lowest spring rate, 34 psi, camber over 0.5+
Right Rear: stiff spring rate, negative lower camber, 25-28 PSI
Sway Bar & Brake Bias
Front Sway: This one should be soft if you’ve followed the other instructions as it would be allow for smoother turning and better rotation on the front wheels
Rear Sway: Also soft is usually the best way to go. This can go tighter on some trakcs but generally a softer rear sway is a good accompaniment to the previous settings.
Brake Bias: About 55% is perfect. This shifts brake focus to the rear of the car
Rear Ratio: Default is usually fine.
