Lightyear Frontier Abandoned Eggs Tips

During your exploration it is likely that you’ve come across these eggs but if you haven’t then you need to search in the right spot before getting one. The first requirement is that you have to have the area completely cleared of slimes and Noxious Weeds. You then just have to search any area that isn’t Edge Cliffs, the Meadows or Pine Heights.

The eggs can contain many different species, usually those native to the area so if you want a specific animal egg then look around where they’re normally found. The next step requires you to go through with the new content and make contact with Diane, one of the two neighbours added to the game in the latest patch. Ulf has his own qualities while Diane is all about animals and helping you look after them.

After meeting Diane, you’ll be able to build an Egg incubator which requires the following materials:

  • 4 Copper Wire
  • 2 Aluminum Electronics
  • 3 Aluminum Frames

With the Incubator built you can start incubating eggs which will glow after a day or so to indicate that they’re finished and ready to hatch, by interacting with the egg you can then hatch it.

The incubator has three different lenses which can provide three different impacts on the growth process:

  • Clear Lens – 25% chance of a smaller animal
  • Red Lens – 25% chance of a Larger Animal
  • Blue Lens – 10% chance of getting two animals from one egg

One of the updates’ new animals the Mox can be hatched from an abandoned egg and takes 3 full days of incubation to hatch.
