This FM26 new wonderkid right backs guide will look at the post-January update that changes the database for good. Commonly known as the winter update, this adds January transfers to the game and changes the ratings and potential of many players. In this, I will be focusing on the full backs who have emerged in update 26.2 for you to sign. Football Manager 2026 has been the most controversial entry to the series in some time with Steam having it on mostly negative reviews, with newer reviews staying mixed.

FM26 New Wonderkid Right Backs List – Best Young RBs in Winter Update
Daniel Budesca
Villarreal have been a great place for young talents to emerge in recent season with some major names like Nicolas Jackson emerging from their system in recent seasons. They have now added a right-back option to their crop of prospects in the emergent Daniel Budesca. Already one of the better young right-backs to pick up after playing regularly for the B team this season.
Traore Abdoul Karim
With the rise of the Saudi league, it would be just a matter of time before some young talents started emerging in the region. UAE’s Al-Ain have got a new prospect catching the eye in Mali’s Traore Abdoul Karim who has been a regular for the side all term. He is a defensive midfielder but is recognised as a right-back and central midfielder by FM26 allowing him to get a spot on this list.
Alex Jimenez
It is something of a surprise that Alex Jimenez wasn’t already one of the stronger wonderkids in the original database. He plays for a Bournemouth team who have been great at scouting prospects in recent seasons and looked like a talent off rip. He is now a great young player to pick up to play on the right flank, being capable of playing in the wing, wing-back, and full back spots.
Kyriani Sabbe
Belgium gets another young talent who will go on to bigger and better things as Club Brugge’s Kyriani Sabbe has been a standout young talent in Europe this season. Capable of playing on either flank, he has broken into the first team and should be available for a decent fee given he is 20/21 and will develop into his peak sooner than some younger talents.
Igor Felisberto
It isn’t an FM26 update without a Brazilian Wonderkid. Update 26.2 has recognised the potential of SPO’s Igor Felisberto who is an 18-year-old that favours being more of a wing-back than a full back. Either way, he is a very good prospect who won’t be an elite talent but will come in at the tier just below the elites.
