FM26 Defensive Midfielder Wonderkids Bargain Options
Kennet Eichhorn
15-year-old Kennet Eichhorn is already one to have on your shortlist. He plays for Hertha and should be relatively cheap to pry away. He has a lot of room to grow and will develop in all areas of the game to become a world-beater in midfield.
Matvey Kislyak
CSKA Moscow teenager Kislyak is someone to feature in a pivot. His strength leans a little bit more towards the on-ball role of a defensive midfielder but he is certainly no slouch in the defensive aspect. He isn’t super fast but he can put in a tackle and has a crazy high determination stat, as mentioned though his best development path is focusing on his good passing and on-ball range.
Jorthy Mokio
A bit of an alien in this game, Jorthy Mokio is able to play in four different positions in a number of roles. He’s an all-rounder to start with but his PA is high enough that playing and training him for a specific role will see him improve in time and likely become a very useful DM.
Lennon Miller
A DM in mostly name only, Miller is a good on-ball presence and a box-to-box style crasher but his defensive output is very limited. If put in a pivot you’ll need an excellent ball-winner beside him or things will fall to pieces.
Jhon Solis
Girona man Jhon Solis is a very good DM option with time to improve. His ceiling is pretty high and he’s got an all-round skillset that does have him capable of tackling at a high level off-bat. His raw physicality is good and as he develops, he will become a really interesting talent.
