Brighter Shores The Lost Shipment Guide

Published on:

This Brighter Shores The Lost Shipment guide will walk you through one of the more difficult quests in the game. There are several requirements to beating this one that I’ll go over as well like the necessary fishing skill needed to catch the quest-specific fish. Brighter Shores is a free-to-play title that has shot to life over on Steam despite mixed reviews.

Brighter Shores The Lost Shipment Walkthrough

To start your quest try to blend in and remove armour pieces, go to the Vincible ship at the East Waterfront dock and speak with Captain Shirker. Offer to go for a meal and follow him to The Delectable Gab resteraunt.

Sit down next to Shirker and order/pay for a meal before beginning the conversation. You have to choose the dialogue options that won’t give away your identity so avoid mentioning the shipment or your own status. Once you’ve run through all other dialogue options you can then ask about the shipment as you’ll have gained some trust from Shirker.

Shirker will mention a man in a blue waistcoat which provides you with a new objective.

Blue Waistcoat man is actually easy to find he’s in the Town Square just below Stone Street. By talking to him you’ll learn about Monobrow Sam who you have to impersonate next. Go to the hairdressers on Old Street West and request a monobrow which will cost you some silver so have that on hand.

With the monobrow on, go to the Hooked Hand where you can talk to Wellington and Neese. Again you have to pick the dialogue options that avoid giving away your identity or knowledge of the lost shipment until Harris Slant walks into the conversation. Ask him about the plumbatae and he’ll tell you to find The Illusion.

To make the next step you’ll have to catch the mission specific fish mentioned earlier. This fish is the Fetid Flounder. This can be caught in the overgrown pond north of the Sea Road which requires you to have at least Level 25 Fisherman skills. Without that, you cannot catch the Fetid Flounder.

After catching the Flounder go to Brannof’s Chamber on Brannof Boulevard and find the Ink and Quill.

Use the Quill and Ink to write a message then attach it to the Fetid Flounder. Proceed to the fish stall at Eel Street and hand over the Fetid Flounder, which will cost you some Bronze. Interact with the bush near the stall to hide behind it until someone comes up to the stall and requests a Fetid Flounder.

Follow the stranger until they knock on and enter a previously locked door. Knock on the door and claim to be monobrow sam to unlock the door and gain access. Before entering, you have a chance to re-equip your armour.

This door leads to a thieves Den where you’ll have to take down your enemies, you may need to reach Guard Level 20 to complete this section as it’s a tough fight but once it’s done you’ll have this quest completed.
