Coras Island Rainbow Fish
The Rainbow Fish can be caught in back-to-back seasons. It is available in Winter and then again in Spring, it is not available for the other two. There’s no real weather blockade to catching one as they spawn in sunshine, wind, snow, and blizzard conditions. This is good because you have basically as much time as you need to try and catch one during the two seasons its available.
There is also no time of day constraints to when a Rainbow Fish will spawn so again, you realistically have all the time in the world during Winter and Spring to catch one.
The Rainbow Fish can be fished from the rivers in town but it has a low catch rate, so much so that some players have wondered if the fish is even in-season. It can take a lot of work to get one as it’s luck-based but some folks have taken two in-game days to find one.
This isn’t scientific at all and could be dependent on many factors but the river beside Dippa’s house, the river across from the mayor’s house, and the river across from the blacksmith appear to be the best places to try and find one.
You’ll need one rainbow fish for an offering and can use it for cooking but it otherwise doesn’t have many uses, as a gift it is only liked by three characters so it’s best to sell off any extra even if it isn’t highly valuable.
