Dungeonborne Classes Walkthrough
Fighter
Style of Play
Fighter specialises in close-range situations. They have access to good armour and a wide array of the game’s weapons. Primarily deals physical damage. A solid hand-to-hand unit for those preferring a direct approach.
Skills
Whirlwind – Spins and deals damage with your weapon to every enemy you hit, high damage move that requires a 2 handed sword.
Rush – Short-range dash, mostly seems to be an evasive manoeuvre.
Weapons/Armor
Fighters can use every weapon type except Staves and Orbs.
They can use plate armour which is a big bonus.
Priest
Style of Play
The Priest is a support type who focuses on healing and doing very small amount of damage using elementals. Can move pretty quickly to avoid any hair combat situations. Best used as a supportive healer first, and last-ditch combat option.
Skills
Divine Guidance – Heals allies and damages enemies within a set radius, also revives all fallen allies in that area.
Divine Protection:Instantly shields an ally or the priest from all damage
Weapons/Armour
Priests can have shields, staves and one handed maces
They use cloth armour
Rogue
Style of Play
Every game of this genre is required to have a stealthy melee unit and the Rogue fills that slot this time around. They move quick and use fast, one-handed weapons to pepper in strikes. If caught in combat and unable to escape it is usually game over.
Skills
Petrifying Poison – The Rogue gains a 6 second buff which allows them to petrify the next enemy they hit and freeze them for 10 seconds.
Vanish – The rogue vanishes and becomes invisible allowing you to move into a better position for battle, the vanish wears off if you attack an enemy
Weapons/Armour
Rogues can use one-handed swords and daggers as well as crossbows
They use leather armour.
Swordmaster
Style of Play
Swordmasters are attack specialists, they can unleash a lot of damage using their magic-enhances swords and will be difficult for anyone to stop. Their big weakness is a lack of adequate defense and HP as they’re easier to kill than the other melee units.
Skills
Psionic Blasts – Summons up to 4 psionic swords to shoot towards enemies
Whirling Blade – Summons 1 Psionic Sword that swirls around you causing damage to enemies in its crosshairs
Weapons/Armour
Swordmasters can use 1 or 2 handed swords, shields, and crossbows
They use leather armour
Pyromancer
Style of Play
Pyromancers are very strong magic wielders who can deal large amounts of damage. Their magic abilities come at the cost of weak melee skills which can lead to a quick death if caught in the wrong position.
Skills
Pyroblast – Fireballs charged up to one of two stages. One sends out 3 tracking shots at a target, the other is a large fireball that spreads to have a wide damage field
Fire Blast – Unleashes a shockwave of fire that knocks back enemies within a circular radius and slows them down.
Weapons/Armour
Pyromancers can use one-handed swords, shield, orbs, and staves
They wear cloth armour
Death Knight
Style of Play
Absolutely immobile units that are incredibly dangerous in close combat. Death Knight’s can deal a lot of damage to nearby enemies and have a pull that allows them to move enemies or allies around at will, this all comes at the cost of being a sitting duck and basically being a damage sponge. They don’t use mana and instead require the would of fallen enemies to reach their full power.
Skills
Soul Shroud – Summons evil spirits to surround you and deal damage to enemies, also slows down nearby enemies.
Grasp of the Grave – Fires a spectral chain at your target before pulling them to your side for an attack.
Weapons/Armour
Can use 1 or 2 handed swords, shields, and crossbows
Death Knights use plate armour
Cryomancer
Style of Play
Similar to the Pyromancer except less of an attacking juggernaut and more tactical. Can use its icy powers to defend or stop enemies in their tracks. Also rely on fallen enemies to replenish their power as they’re undead.
Skills
Ice Storm – Summons an icy storm that freezes enemies and does damage for 5 seconds with a blizzard
Ice Barrier – Surrounds the Cryomancer with an impenetrable barrier of ice. Regenerates life over time and makes you impervious to damage.
Weapons/Armour
Can use one-handed swords, shields, orbs, and staves.
Uses Cloth armour.
