The British Esports association has, on October 12th, announced there will be a second World Esports Day which will take place on Saturday 23rd October and is aimed at bringing people together for a global celebration of all things Esports.
World Esports Day 2021 – Bringing People Together
Esports Positive Impact
The first World Esports Day took place in 2020 and this year the aim is to really get the message out there that esports does have a positive impact on society and communities with diversity playing a key factor, something Last Word on Gaming fully supports.
Competitive gaming will also be at the heart of this years event with streaming content, tournaments and other areas that help to build the esports wider community.
Raising Money For COVAX
The British Esports Association backs the World Esports Day event along with the Singapore Esports Association, The Global Esports Association as well as streaming site Twitch.
This year, money raised will be going to COVAX and the British Esports Association had this to say;
”COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access, abbreviated as COVAX, is a worldwide initiative aimed at access to COVID-19 vaccines directed by Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, and the World Health Organization.”
The aim is to ensure that COVId-19 vaccinations are made available all around the world.
To get involved you can host a stream, deliver an educational piece or promote esports through social media.
If you want to get involved with this great event that can really help to make a difference in the fight against COVID-19, you can contact Word Esports by emailing them at email@example.com or by visiting their website.
