FM26 Defensive Midfielder Wonderkids Walkthrough
Ayyoub Bouadi
Lille starlet Ayyou Bouadi is a top tier prospect in this year’s game, one of the best for the midfield area. He’s got good stats across the line with physicality, on-ball abilities, good passing, good tackling, and some decent mental stats. Bouadi is the crown jewel in midfield for any major team for a long time.
Chema Andres
Stuttgart’s Chema Andres is one of those players with a more settled ceiling, he doesn’t usually become as good as Bouadi but his floor is very high, higher than all of the prospects on here. His aggression levels might prove to be offputting for some.
Nahan de Cat
Anderlecht appears to have done it again as Nathan de Cat is a very highly sought after prospect in FM26. At 16, he is more rough around the edges than some others but his potential to become a high-level DM is not to be underestimated.
Marc Bernal
While it can be difficult to distinguish a DM from a CM in the Barcelona setup, Bernal is considered a defensive midfielder in our books. Being a Barca player, you know he has quality and time to grow into his position. He’s only 18 so he needs time, but he has room to grow.
Noah Sadiki
Sunderland player Noah Sadiki is a strong upside buy. He starts off good and gets even better as the game progresses. He’s got good stamina to start so can be an engine in the midfield, something that DMs are asked to do more and more.
Other Options
- Warren Zaire-Emery (more of a CM)
- Kobbie Mainoo
- Tom Bischof
- Jack Hinshelwood
- Kees Smit
- Dario Essugo
- Stefan Bajcetic
- Malick Yalcoule
