This Aska Jotun Blood guide will detail how to find iron in the early access title which mixes survival gameplay with colony/base building. Aska Jotun Blood Tips

Jotun Blood is a pretty important resource in this game, it is used in things like summoning villagers which helps grow your population. Because of this importance you’ll find yourself running through it pretty quickly.

The main way to get it is by breaking Blood Shards, these are pretty tough to miss as they’re massive rocks with a bright blue contrasting the grey stone. There’s no set map for where to find these as each seed in-game is different but they’re difficult to miss.

Another quirk to consider about these shards is they don’t respawn. You’ll be forced to scavenge the land for them as you break more of them until there’s no more. This is a warning in advance to avoid wasting any Jotun Blood you get as the main source is finite within the game and you’ll be left to play RNG roulette afterwards.

After the Shards there are two ways to get Jotun Blood but neither is guaranteed. The first is at enemy spawn points, there’s a chance you can find some here but there’ll also be enemy swarms blocking your path.

The final way to get the Blood is by defeating otherworldly enemies like Draugr. This is a completely random occurrence and the spawn rate isn’t very high but if you’re desperate then slaying enemies could help you find some of the resources you’re looking for.

So, when it comes to Jotun’s Blood don’t waste any and be sure to mine all of the Shards you see. Once those are gone they are GONE and it’ll be left up to chance which is never fun.
