The Football Manager 2023 Winter Update has changed the game in many ways with tweaks to the match engine and some fixed stats. To keep up with the rating changes I have put together this article on the new best young right wingers to sign in FM23 following the attribute fixes.

Best Young Right Wingers in FM23 Winter Update

Brennan Johnson

A winger/striker coupled into one Johnson can be a threat when used properly. He can play as a standard winger and get crosses into the box using his stronger right foot and pace but he can also break the line and finish when needed.

Joao Pedro

Pedro can play anywhere in the attacking end of the pitch but works best as a winger. His first touch and dribbling skills make him a danger to full-backs while his strength and pace makes him a great weapon in the attack. His passing and crossing aren’t quite caught up with his other skills yet but there is room to grow.

Yaser Asprilla

Another good dribbler, this time with a strong left-foot allowing him to cut in and finish. Asprilla does have room to grow in the finishing department but any boost to his skills in front of goal could make him a great inside winger style player.

Oscar Perea

Perea is a project as the 16-year-old starts off with a very low rating. That said, he is already showing the signs of becoming a fantastic winger in the future. He’s already got a dribbling attribute of 15 and crossing of 14. With time his other skills will come along and make him a really dangerous asset on the wing.

Giovani

Brazilian starlet Giovani is a versatile winger who has already attracted Premier League interest. He’s already got solid passing skills but his crossing is rather mediocre. He will need time to develop into a top tier player but his potential is high enough that he’s worth the punt.
