Along with Out Run, Super Hang On was an arcade racing game that took many a pound coin and then some and now there is a homage to the great motorbike racer coming to Nintendo Switch on November 11th in the form of Retro Highway.

Retro Highway Bringing Hang On Vibes to Nintendo Switch

Throwback

Retro Highway is a throw back to the classic coin op racers of the late 80’s and early 90’s with fast roads, different bikes and locations to be unlocked. The game is set to run at a cool 60 fps with old school graphics brought into the modern age. Early impressions are of a game similar to Horizon Chase Turbo and if this can replicate that games’ success we will be in for a real treat.

Features

Experience high octane old school action on your console in 60 fps
• Complete daring challenges and compete with your friends or the whole world for the highest scores
• Explore six unique environments ranging from a hot desert freeway to a futuristic moon base
• Customize your playstyle by choosing from a diverse garage of 10+ bikes and by upgrading various power ups
• Embrace the nostalgia rush caused by stylish pixel art visuals and chiptune soundtrack

The game is coming from Gearhead Games and Retro Highway races onto Nintendo Switch eShop on November 11th and will be a digital download only. The game is priced at $5.99, €5.99 and £4.99
